Dear Kansas City businesses,

We invite you to be part of our upcoming October 3, 2019 RUNWAY TO IMPACT Gala at The Gallery Event Space at the Kansas City Power & Light District.  This year’s evening of runway show, multiple live music acts, light bites, libations, silent auction and raffles will support our 501c3 non-profit MADI Donations as we launch MADI Makes, a job-training program for at-risk women in Kansas City. MADI Donations is the non-profit subsidiary of MADI Apparel, the KC-based company that donates a pair of underwear to women in need for every intimate item sold.

You can help us two ways – by becoming a sponsor of this year’s event or by providing an in-kind donation of an item for our silent auction.  Your tax-deductible donations to MADI Donations 501c3 will fund commercial sewing machines, wages for professional cut and sew instructors, sample material and a training stipend for each apprentice. The more we raise, the more women we can train.

Please screen shot form below, fill out and email to: madidonations@gmail.com OR email us pledge silent auction donation and we will sent PDF of below form.

Here’s your chance to make a direct impact on women right here in Kansas City. The MADI Makes program will help us break the cycle of chronic homelessness and unemployment and create pathways to self-sufficiency.  The goal of the program is to help at-risk people with employment barriers get jobs, keep jobs and build a better life.   Working in partnership with Hope Faith Ministries, the program will teach women to sew the donations pairs of underwear on commercial machines.  Once the apprentice successfully graduates from the program MADI Apparel (the for profit company) will hire the women to sew on a contract basis.  Not only will apprentices learn commercial sewing skills, but also basic work skills, workplace interaction skills and other skills needed to build confidence and pave the way toward fulfilling employment in the community and the growing garment industry.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
